Sunday Morning Creche 

Choosing to leave your child in someone else’s care, especially in a new church setting, can feel like a big step. Our Crèche Ministry is here to support you, offering a safe, nurturing and Christ-centred space where your child can feel cared for and secure, allowing you to relax and engage fully in the service.

At the heart of our Crèche is a simple desire: to love, care for and gently nurture children in their earliest years, helping them grow in trust, joy and a sense of belonging.

Our Crèche welcomes children from walking age up to under 5 years old, including:
• Toddlers (around ages 1–2)
• Pre-school children (ages 3–4)
• Children who are not yet in Reception year

Our sessions are calm, age-appropriate and engaging, recognising that young children learn best through play, routine and positive relationships.

During their time in Crèche, children can enjoy:
• Free play with a variety of toys that encourage imagination, sharing and motor skills
• Simple crafts and activities such as colouring, puzzles and building
• Bible Stories shared in a gentle, child-friendly way
• Snack time, following the church’s safeguarding and allergy guidelines
• Plenty of care, reassurance and individual attention, especially for those settling in for the first time

We understand that every child is different, and some may need a little extra time to feel comfortable. Parents are always welcome to speak with the team, ask questions, and share anything that may help us care for their child well.

Safeguarding: All members of the Crèche team are DBS-checked and Safeguarding trained. On your child’s first visit, we ask that you share your contact details with the leaders so we can reach you if needed.

Drop-off: Everyone begins the service together in the main church building. After around 15 minutes, parents take their children to Crèche which is usually in the church hall and sign them in before returning to the service. You are very welcome to stay with your child for a short time if that helps them settle.

Pick-up: At the end of the service, please collect your child from Crèche, where they will be waiting with their leader. For everyone’s safety, children must be picked up from the leaders.
