BLAST Youth Group

What is BLAST?

BLAST is a welcoming and supportive youth group for young people in School Years 7–11. We provide a safe space where teenagers can build friendships, have fun, and explore the Christian faith in a way that is relevant to their everyday lives.

Our aim is to help young people:

  • Grow in confidence and character
  •
  • Build healthy friendships
  •
  • Develop their understanding of God and the Bible
  •
  • Feel valued and connected within the church community

BLAST is more than just a social club — it’s about belonging, encouragement, and learning important life skills within a positive Christian framework.

When Do We Meet?

We meet twice a month, on the 2nd and 4th Saturday evenings, from 7:00pm to 9:00pm in the church hall (unless otherwise stated).

What Happens at a Session?

Each evening includes a mix of activities and a short, accessible Bible talk led by a member of the church.

Activities may include:

  • Table tennis, air hockey, pool and other club games
  •
  • Board games
  •
  • Themed activity nights
  •
  • Occasional trips (such as bowling)

There is also a small tuck shop where drinks and snacks can be purchased at a low cost (cash only).

Our sessions are designed to be relaxed, friendly, and structured, with adult leaders present throughout.

Safeguarding & Supervision

The safety and wellbeing of young people is a priority.

All sessions are supervised by trusted adult leaders from the church who have been vetted and have been through Safeguarding training.

On your child’s first and second visit, we ask that a parent or guardian comes into the church hall at drop-off so we can meet you and collect your contact details.

We ensure appropriate adult supervision at all times.

If you would like further information about our safeguarding procedures, please speak to one of the leaders.
